BIOGRAPHY
Mansour Mortazie, D.D.S. has more than 25 years of experience in providing extraordinary dentistry to residents of Northern Virginia and the surrounding metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. He is highly experienced and qualified in the areas of family and general dentistry. His dental practice offers a wide range of services that include Preventive and Restorative, Cosmetic, Teeth Whitening, Implant Surgery, Implant Prosthodontics, Endodontic (Root Canal Therapy), Orthodontics, Periodontal Surgery, Prosthodontics (Dentures), TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Pain and Dysfunction, Treatment of Gum Disease, and Complete Oral Rehabilitation. Even though Dr. Mortazie's gentle touch puts his patients, even the anxious ones, at ease, his practice offers the additional comfort of dental conscious sedation. Dr. Mortazie's first priority is to listen to and find out what the unique needs and goals are of his patients, so he can create a customized treatment plan to achieve the optimal smile they desire. As a highly skilled cosmetic dentist, Dr. Mortazie's, vision integrates the realms of art, science and technology, to achieve outstanding dental services and patient care.
Education
Dr. Mansour Mortazie obtained his undergraduate degree from the Freed Hardeman University. He then attended Howard University, where he pursued his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree and underwent post-doctoral training in surgical and prosthetic dental implantology. In addition, Dr. Mansour Mortazie received the Mosby for Scholastic Excellence from Howard University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Mansour Mortazie has also received post-doctoral instruction at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Training (Las Vegas Institute), which provides training in advanced, comprehensive cosmetic dentistry. He also attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he received certification of advanced bone grafting.
As a leader in the fields of neuromuscular, implant, and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Mansour Mortazie regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current with advancements in dentistry in order to provide high quality patient care.
Community
Throughout Dr. Mortazie's career he has been actively involved in community outreach by delivering informative lectures in the public school systems focusing on the importance of preventive care. In addition, he participates in the Smiles For Children Program of Virginia for many years. The Smiles For Children Program is provided by FAMIS (Family Access to Medical Insurance Security), sponsored by the Commonwealth of Virginia and provides no costs or co-payments for dental care services for underprivileged children.
